Ajorosun Local Council Development Area, one of the 35 newly created Local Council Development Area with its headquarter at Olodo was carved out ofEgbeda Local Government. It shares boundary with LageluLocal Government in the North and Egbeda Local Government in the West. It is also bounded in the South by Ibadan North East Local Government and LageluWest by the East.
Ajorosun became the Local Council Development Area in December, 2016 consequent upon the Gazette of Oyo State Government under the leadership of the then Executive Governor of Oyo State, Senator AbiolaAjimobi.

LOCAL COUNCIL DEVELOPMENT AREA HEADQUARTER& MAJOR TOWNS, DISTRICTS AND WARDS
In terms of distribution, the central part of the Council Development Area contains nearly 50% of all the settlements among which is the Council Headquarters, Olodo.
Ajorosun Local Council Development Area has seven (7) wards. This includes (i) Erunmu and Adeleye (ii) Ayede (iii) Owobaale and Ajia (iv) Ajiwogbo (v) Kumapayi and Olodo(vi) Monatan and Ayepe (vii) Wakajaiye and Oloya.
Major Town includesOlodo, Erunmu, Ayede, Alugbo, Owobaale, Kasumu, Olodan-Ajiwogbo, Kumapayii, Monatan, Wakajaiye, Oganla, Olukunle, Adeleye, Iyana-Church, Kute, Odan-Elekan, Jenriyin and Ayepe.

PEOPLE AND DIALECTS
The people in Ajorosun Council Development Area are Yorubas and they speak Yoruba fluently which is their dialects except at the urban area which is cosmopolitan.
